Hi – we’re Heather and Jodi. We created this comfy online space to share our friendships, our experiences, and our passions.
It’s the perfect time to try something new.
After being friends for more than 35 years, we both retired in 2021. Of course, we wanted to be productive and use the creativity that was a huge part of our careers. A lot of discussion led to the idea of creating a blog framed by what brought us together – a long-term friendship formed at college in small-town Missouri and that grew stronger long after graduation.
At Friendsville Square – our little corner of the ‘net – you’ll find a new post every Thursday. Our topics will range from family to friends, hobbies to travel, and parenting to retirement. Along the way, our friends from college (and beyond) will contribute as well.
What’s in it for you?
Our goal is to provide new friends, like you, with helpful solutions, fun and interesting stories, and tips and tricks that really click.
We hope that you’ll be an active member of this new community. Please comment on our posts and let us know if you have an idea to add. Tell us what you’re interested in or what challenges you face. It’s easy to stay up to date with us – just subscribe to our weekly email. And we’ll share fresh content on our socials, so be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Come on in and stay awhile – we’ll leave the light on.
Thank you for browsing around and taking in the content we’ve already posted and sharing it with folks you think might be interested as well. We look forward to connecting with you!
So proud of y'all, this is cool, down to earth, fantastic, and entertaining. Life is great because we have the two of you. I want to ride along on this journey with - let’s Go
Congrats, Heather and Jodi, on this exciting new venture! Well done! I look forward to reading more great content in the coming weeks. Heather, I especially liked your post on traveling solo. It was fun seeing some familiar faces of former colleagues who contributed to that piece. — DH (a fellow retiree and loving it!)
